ROLES
1.    Formulate and enforce legislations, policies and procedures in line with international best practice
2.     Evaluate procedures, policy and legislation related to duty/tax exemptions
3.     Collect and analyse data related to Customs Department.
4.     Consultation and advice to business community.

ROLES OF RMCJ

             The role of the Royal Malaysian Customs Department (RMJC) as a revenue collector, facilitates trade and law enforcement demand for RMJC to act proactively and strategically to achieve the excellence of services expected by the stakeholders. This excellence will be realized through a holisticly designed strategic planning. The strategic plan is the official written document of the department which contains policies and strategic programs to achieve organizational goals within the stipulated period.

         The main components of the strategic plan include vision, mission, strategic issues, strategic thrusts, strategies and action plans. RMJC's Strategic Plan 2015-2019 is a continuation of previous strategic plans. This plan is developed to map the direction, policy framework for development agenda, modernization of management and service delivery system for the next five years. To fulfilling this wish, JKDM once again transforms its vision, mission, shared values ​​and slogans to be relevant to current changes to uplift RMJC as the world's leading and world-class agency.
