TRAINING
OBJECTIVE
Industrial training is one of the best
methods to be exposed to students before they enter the work environment. These
objectives, it is expected that supervisors and students can evaluate each
field-based learning experience in terms of its relevance to the stated
learning objectives. Providing a program which educates for excellence in
social work practice rests on the achievement of the following objectives and
following the training of this industry an also enhance the skills and
knowledge of a student. Actually, these are several training objectives that as
the guideline for the student and also to the people who involved in the
industrial training. By undergoing this industrial training, students will be
able to inculcate themselves into real society and be able to interact and
communicate with various races, ages and religions irrespective. Industrial
training is a major component of co-curriculum in Polytechnic. Students are
required to pass industry training previously certified for the award of
diploma in any school. Students will be placed in government departments or
private companies for 20 weeks to expose them to a real working environment and
different from the atmosphere at the center of study. Students will face
various challenges and problems that have never been before. Therefore, one of
the main purposes of this industry training is to expose students to real
employment when students graduate from Polytechnics.
Students also have the opportunity to
use all the knowledge or theories related to the fields taken while at
Polytechnics while conducting industrial training and give students the
opportunity to use their own creative ideas for the good of the firm and
indirectly for the good of themselves as well. Hence, this experience has
probably helped the students to learn in the next semester and in real life.
Students can also be exposed to ways to communicate well, extend their
friendship with the workplace and the surrounding people, foster a high team
spirit and good relationship with industrial workers where it can create a
sense of responsibility for an assignment as well as balance of various
aspects.
In addition, following industrial
training, students can improve their own weaknesses to be more advanced and
rational in dealing with any problems. During industrial training, students can
assess their abilities to the assignment given by the employer. Students
themselves can in still a productivity spirit of the challenges and obstacles
encountered.
Main objectives of industrial training are:

To provide opportunity for
students to gain access the information on the current needs and requirements
of industry.

To expose students to the
latest technology and management utilized by industry.
·
To enable students to gain experience
and exposure to the reality of working environment in organization.

To develop students with
necessary technical and professional skills including communication, management
and entrepreneurship.

To expose the student to
work relates problems and issues and in a way develop their thinking
capabilities in decision making.
·
To enable students to apply
the theories and concepts to real workplace situation.
·
Building confidence and
individual personality.
·
To help students to
communicate effectively.
·
To help cultivate teamwork
and good relationship while working.

Discipline yourself to
follow the rules and regulation while working.

Build sense of
responsibilities

Establish
/ strengthen relationship between University / Faculty and external agencies

Train students to
interact professionally with multiple layers of workers at outside agencies.

Disclosing to
external agencies about the potential and potential of graduates

agencies

with the experience of real-world employment in their respective areas of
